Her favorite hobbies were reading, traveling and serving in her church but she found special joy in spending time with her children and enjoying the spice of life that each of them brought to her. While raising her children, she held many callings in her church where she served faithfully and tirelessly to help others reach their goals and aspirations in life. Her children knew they were of highest importance in her life as she would drop anything and everything for her children. She taught them love, kindness, service, dedication and the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ through her example. They were truly the most precious possessions she had. She was an incredible mother who constantly sacrificed everything for her children. Her greatest desire in life was to be a mother and raise children that exemplified Christ’s attributes. She loved attending high school reunions and kept in touch with many lifelong friends. New Zealand, Scotland, the United Kingdom and Russia were some of her most treasured trips. Peggy enjoyed traveling with friends Sheila Goodman, Alice Johnstone, Beth Allen, Jean Kinney and Mitte Anderson. She returned to the classroom for two years before retiring after 22 years. Peggy became the SVVEA president for four years and also trained districts and school board teams in collective bargaining negotiations. ![]() She taught kindergarten, third and first grades. In 1974, the family moved to Longmont, Colorado, and Peggy began teaching full-time in 1980 at Spangler Elementary after divorcing. She worked part-time for H&R Block and became a substitute teacher. ![]() ![]() They moved to Colorado Springs where a daughter Amy and a son Jeff were born. She earned a full-tuition scholarship to Utah State University where she married William Lund Soderborg, Jr., had a son Marty and eventually graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1969. Peggy was raised in Ogden, Utah until she was 10 years old then her father was hired at the Army Depot and the family moved to Tooele, Utah, where she graduated from Tooele High School in 1963. 3, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, to John Delmar and Margaret Louise McNeill.
